A system for archiving and indexing video recordings of municipal council meetings, built for TV Rimava. Long recordings are processed in smaller chunks — each segment goes through automatic speech-to-text transcription and is then indexed for full-text search. Editors can search for any word or topic directly within the discussion content, and the system returns the exact timestamps in the recording, along with context and a transcription confidence score. From the search results, video can be played back starting at the matched passage, or the relevant segment can be downloaded separately as MP4, MOV, or MP3 for further use in the newsroom.
